The red pickup just up the page , would that be some species of REO Speed Wagon?
Probably not , but there would appear to be similarities .
Either way , it’s one nice looking motor .
I remember there was one for sale in a field alongside the A6 near Hazel Grove a few years ago .

I saw this neat looking Isuzu van in Wigan town centre earlier today. From the drivers side,
it looks like an ordinary fridge van, on the nearside, it shows its two separate compartments,
A fridge and a general goods section, I am impressed with it.
Two Volvo fridge artics from the provinces of Almeria and Murcia in South-east Spain
delivering fresh fruit & veg to the disribution warehouse at Martland Park, Wigan. 31/01/2023.

I saw this old beauty last week, it was absolutely immaculate. It had a 400 big cam ■■■■■■■■ 13spd double overdrive and air ride rear axles, not exactly how it left the factory, but common upgrades according to the owner.

It’s an East Sussex reg no August 1954 to June 55 Mammoth Major Eight so probably been around a while. St Ives also operated half cab Fodens on the mixer fleet and did a lot of body building inhouse so this mixer body could have replaced an older version. Franky.

Thanks! I had a time thought the mixer might have replaced a crane, thus explaining the half-cab. But if St-Ives were fond of half-cabs, that’s it!
