The back one looks like a Hoveringham or Dowsett one and the front one could be one of a number of companies
that operated them in that colour. Possibly Wimpey,Thomas Nicol ?

The front one could well be one of Ambrose from Chesterfield.

Hi Froggy.It’s a MK3 Mammoth Major and GTM was a Bedfordshire October 1948 registration. Chris.

Is that the inside of a Kraz or some othe Soviet truck? I’d say the bigger stick is the main gearbox; second bigger the auxiliary gearbox; the two others to switch the drive of the front axle, and the last for the differential blocking.

I do not recall any operator identifying on any of them, and there seemed to be a few about at one time.!
