That shot hadn’t changed much over the following 25/30 years except the motors were somewhat newer ! But the stroppy Porters and their poxy barra’s had never changed one bit ! I have been parked there with my D1000 a good few times loading for delivery to a Barrow-in-Furness wholesale merchant so it brings the memories flooding back ! Great shot from long gone times ! Cheers Bewick.

I hated that place with a bloody passion, fiddling bloody porters “sign 'ere drive”,not until I’ve checked it so sod off.It may well have had “character” but they could put their “character” where sun didn’t shine.

Nice through the ages Volvo lineup plus an odd one, Buzzer.

Couldn’t agree more. Used to be at the garden most days loading for Leeds etc. The fields wasn’t so bad but the borough was a pita with an artic.
stroppy Porters and their poxy barra’s had never changed one bit ! How true.

Thanks to servo88, lurpak, Buzzer and DEANB for the pics

When taking photos and chatting to drivers I get the invite to get behind the wheel and see what I think of today’s motors, I have to refuse 'cos I can’t get up the bloody steps  any way this Scania cab would be ok, all credit to Eddie(eastleighbusman) for the photo.
