Recently on a few crossings over the Dartford Bridge its become evident to me that Cobelfret/Dartline have pulled out of Dartford and moved it all across to Purfleet, leaving the site completely deserted…
Why doesnt the local council, or somebody in a Position of Authority stake claim to the land and make it a viable truck park. The land is of little use for anything else, it would require minimal work to make a truck park, even the bays are still marked out and the security barriers are still in place. All it needs, if it hasnt got it is CCTV putting in and some sort of eating/washing facilites and its well away… Its ideally placed too, and has good access to it as well… I have shipped out of Dartford and few times and you could accomadate a good couple of hundred trucks in there at a time…
Has anybody else had this thought or am i off my head…
