Got a delivery of wooden boards to go to St Barts in W.Smithfields tomorrow. Will be in need of a break once done and there’s no parking on Site, is there anywhere to park up nearby for a 45? - preferably near some grub too!

Presume you mean Smithfield meat market, near Holborn. If so, beware it gets very busy in the morning, you will find it hard to find somewhere to park, right up to 11’ish. There are quite a few eating places, that serve good food, eat in or take out.
Depending on the time of day you can normally pug up in and around the meat market. Ferrari’s cafe, Smithfield cafe and Beppe’s cafe all still open I think although its been a while since i’ve been. Ferraris is on W. Smithfield, so is Beppe’s i think and the Smithfield is up near Long Lane if I remember correctly, no doubt someone will put me right if necessary. Most of the bays are loading i think but your normally ok round there (in my experience)
Even though the roads are empty around Smithfield during the day, traffic wardens will still ticket you. They have no respect for delivery drivers.I think the loading bays are for use of a night time? Years ago you could park virtually anywhere in London, on yellow lines and you wouldn’t get a ticket - new generation TW ticket anything 
When I park at Smithfield I pop into Tesco and sit in the motor to eat.
