Anyone know of any truck stops or places worth staying for a 24 hour break in or near to cambridge? Will be travelling up overnight from Yeovil.

Update for you Rob regards Bar hill Ind estate. I was once moved on from there. Two bobbies told me the Parish council were getting a bit upset about trucks parking.
However, it was about 2years ago , but I’ve not chanced it since. I think if you can park in a customers yard, they tend to leave you alone. But there are signs up now warning about overnight parking.
But, I’ll stand corrected.
Bar Hill is the one I always use.

Put in Anderson road Swavesey and that will take you to wher Robroy has said above.
Takes 15minutes to walk over to Cambridge services, for grub, and/or shower.

I wonder if that applies to Anderson road too ? I haven’t parked there for well over a year and it could be 18mths, since our firm decided that we had to park in lorry parks/services only !

Think it was about a year or so ago since I was there.
It really ■■■■■■ me when they put truck parking prohibitions on ind ests, by there very nature trucks should be ok parking there.
It’s the pond life peasants among us who leave a mess that ■■■■ s it up for the rest of us.
As for MSAs, I would not pay their extortionate prices on principle, …even if re.imbursed, ■■■■ holes the lot of them.

Well don’t moan when you have nowhere to park when truckstops and the like go bust and no one wants you.
Who makes the MSA"s a ■■■■■■■■■ the owner or the user ?

Don’t you worry yourself about me mate, I won’t give it a second thought, as I have managed without MSAs for this long.
As for my description as ‘‘■■■■ holes’’ , in terms of the owners I use that term loosely. I meant that they are overpriced, and they only provide those overpriced facilities because they are obliged by law to provide parking places.
As for the users part in their state of being, I thought I had already covered that one in my last post.
Truckstops,… I only stay on the good ones, and as for the ones who serve up ■■■■ food and the like, I am not going to be a patron just to keep them in business.
Hope that clears up your query.

Nicely thanks
You would hope that any new industrial estates/facilities (aka amazon fulfillment, Stobart etc) should have it as part of the obligations that parking & “relevant facilities” for drivers and deliveries are included in the planning process.
I have heard there are truck parking issues around the newish amazon fulfilment centre at Rugeley.

Yeh, I agree with you on that.
