just find a zone industrial, and be close to a bus or train to get to the beach,my only concern is cab robbers, due to the area being homes to the rich and famous,i would not leave any valubles in the cab,fit a safe in the floor of the cab,or get a ruck sack to take all the important bits.
It is not against the law to buy Cs gas, pepper spray, they sell in the truck stops, but do not bring it in to the UK.
Some tn member will have the Rouitier guide for cheap meals and free parking, maybe leave there, but ask the owners permission.
you can park in the port
When I used to be weekended down in nice would sometimes park at the airport. If you follow signs for nice fret down into the airport it’ll lead you too the freight terminal, at the entrance too this are big green sliding gates with a little security hut on the end. Just outside these gates there is parking or 4/5 wagons (depending whose in there) get quite a lot of the removal boys in there. Every time I parked up here never once had a problem you can also go to the security hut sign in and they will let you use the showers facilities in the freight terminal, make sure you put your flip flops on though. There hot and powerful all that matters. I have left the truck here before and flown home for weekend (fri-mon evening) and once back jumped in started her up and headed off towards vent without a prob! Hope this helps…
This is the Routiers Online site.
Choose which region you are going to in France and then decide which Routiers you want. Simples.
I used parking cars Ferber a couple of weeks back. It’s a coach park on the Promenade des Anglais. It’s not cheap & you’re not supposed to stay in the cab either, no toilets, showers etc there but it’s right on the beach where there are facilities.
Be careful with your delivery address as trucks are only allowed as far as the coach park on Promenade des Anglais. Town centre is pretty much no go with a truck. My drop turned out to be a 3.5m loading dock Also there’s lots of very low tunnels etc. Where are you delivering? (message me if you prefer)
As Puddlejumper says there is the Sunset Resto,38 tables or covers, they allow dogs in there, sell Cb`s,you get a jug of wine, all seems good to me,good menu according to the web site.
