I have parked in the Tesco car park East of Cardiff (on the way to the docks), but that’s over a year ago, so may have changed.
At Celtic manor, will be empty. Cardiff too far.
Don`t Park outside Newport Truck Stop ( no parking paid at the the time so did not have much choice ), last time I did I ended up with a 5 foot ■■■■■ in the curtains !

I’ve parked there a few times without any hassle… try to get inside if I can, but been outside too. Worth it for the cafe grub which is cheap and excellent, and served till about 8 o’clock.
The big problem with Newport is that there are no specific safe or unsafe areas as such. Just more curtains slashed and fuel nicked than average.
And last year there was a spate of incidents were the scrotes started tipping the cab over…
If you’re parking near Manor Manor, there’s safe parking just of the Chepstow Junction, or on the industrial area by the A4810. There’s often trucks parked there, but I would not park on my own. And not away from traffic or street lights.

Which one? Masons yard in Albany street or the Newport Truck Stop in Pont Rd?

Seven Stiles Ave, no yellows and near Tesco, M&S, MacD’s, Greggs, Pizza Hut, Nando’s etc come off at Magor and head towards Newport on the back road behind the steel works .
I will say I don’t know how safe or unsafe it is as only frequented it during the day .

That’s what I mentioned above (by the A4810, which is the road from Magor past the steelworks). I have seen trucks parked there, but I would suggest only to park with other trucks, in plain sight.
I used to park by the KFC on the SDR by one of the roundabouts until I had a knock on the door asking if I had scrap metal and any diesel spare for this persons mums car lol. Swiftly drove away.
Corporation road outside Owens depot and a commercial garage is fine at night as loads of trucks park on that road as its really wide. You have a Morisons near but I don’t know about parking on that road during the day.

Cant remember the name of the road bit I was right opposite the Truck Stop main entrance in front of a disused unit.
