In July this year driving south on the A1 in my Spanish reg car i stopped at Wetherby MOTO services for a meal etc and also had a little nap, i cannot remember how long i was there but certainly not that long. I have now received at my Spanish home a bill from Contractum International Debt Collection for 173.16 euros. I have read before on this forum how these are not enforceable but can someone please enlighten me on what to do or is it better to just pay it ,thanks in advance.
Theyre a company specialising in foreign reg vehicles and can only remind you or notify you about a debt. Ignore it if youre not coming back to the UK anytime soon, however its quite possible you may have problems at passport control on entering the UK again.
Its an invoice, bin it, Harry Monk is the man to ask, ignore threatening letters of court action, that is a lie, to scare people to pay up.
Do not contact them, ignore it.
Passport control will not intervene over parking invoices .

Debt collection agencies have…
No enforcement powers whatsoever. High court enforcement officers and certificated bailiffs do but, only in the United Kingdom.
All debts are ‘alleged’ until proven otherwise.
You have no contract with Contractum.
