A friend of mine is at DPD but doesn’t know when he will be loading, he is worried it may be for Paris tonight. He is worried because it is the public holiday tomorrow as you are aware. Does DPD get the same exemptions as La Poste ? All I can find is a piece on DPD in Suisse which does give them the same exemption as the post in suisse. Thanks for help
Unless the goods are for La Poste, then I would say no. DPD are only a parcel carrier.
But surely, his transport manager, or the hub transport team would know that.
What if the load was mixed with La Poste and Dpd parcels.
There is some regulation about volume space and how much is allowed to travel on a ban.Cubic metre wise?
Best to find out before setting off.
Then there numerous bans on certain roads around Paris with different times when the bans start and end.
Truck bans on the Perphique the day before the holiday.
The day of the holiday and the day after the holiday with timed restrictions.A nightmare.
I would ask for a permit/authorisation written in French to drive on the ban if the load qualifies for it.
Dpd is owned by La Poste.
Thought it was Deutsche Post Timmo!?
Ask chrystel in Lokeren. The number is on your isotrack. She knows European transport regulations inside out.
She also won’t feed you ■■■■■■■■ just to get the job done.

Nothing to do with Deutch Post
D Deutcher P Paket D Dienst ( ■■? spelling )
But they were taken over, bought out by a French company " Geopost "
Edited just to add that Geopost is a subsidiary of La Poste
Knew I’d seen Ge in there somewhere.

Dpd and Interlink Express are part of the Geopost group, which is owned by La Poste
