Looks like p&o have drafted freighter european seaway in from germany to help ease the traffic
I used to like crossing on the European Seaway, there was never any tourists to avoid and if you shipped out on it on a Sunday or Monday it wa always nice and quiet.
Whole thing is a complete mess at the start of the year three companies doing Dover to Calais now down to one after the intervention of the EU and DFDS complaint being upheld end result P&O now have a monopoly on Calais another case of the EU showing that when it comes to business they don’t have a clue, 600 people now jobless and a DFDS ship tied in dover not being used along with the two in Calais.

It seems to have nothing to do with the EU intervention, is was the UK’s own Competition and Markets Authority (used to be the The Competition Commission) which brought the case against Eurotunnel having a major stake in My ferry link, after complainants from P&O and DFDS.
In my opinion we have P&O and DFDS to thank for this mess. Myferrylink workers were royally shafted, not that I’m excusing any actions since.
Three MF and two DFDS no longer able to do Dover-Calais yet the politicians want us to believe it is all down to the French or the immigrants
