I had intended on doing one a few weeks back of a trip I did coast to coast, and north to south in the US/Canada and took hundreds of photos. But then I couldn’t be arsed. Maybe I’ll have to remember the trip and do a diary?!
When I first came here I did a sort of diary but it was sent via an old workmate to Tesco in two locations and put of the drivers room walls, I occasionally got coments and replies via email. I eventually gave up because this job I do now is quite boring and same-ish.
I sometimes think about re-starting a diary for TNET but not sure it’s worth it to write 'Left home, went to NYC, delivered, went back to NYC, went to diner, delivered next day, went back to NYC, went to diner … and so on …
Oh well… Never mind… I’ve just had a job confirmed for a Norwegian ‘pimp my ride’ outfit that might make a half decent diary… Going to Hinkley, Leics. on Tuesday to collect a new car transporter trailer then off to Peterborough to load a new rally car before delivering it to the docks in Immingham for departure to Scandanavia… Will give me a bit of respite from poxy breakdown jobs on Nottingham’s ring road etc.
Unless I become very busy in the near future I’m seriously considering going back to Malaysia for a month over Xmas/New Year and helping the fairground boys out on a busman’s holiday… Wanna see if I can still handle the Eaton twin splitter, heat, humidity & women!! HAHAHAHA…!!! Now where’s my medication got to??

I think most people just do blogs nowadays, I never considered a diary on tnetuk so just did the blog and now we are returning to the UK my life may become way too mundane to keep any kind of diary lol.

Yes Pat, I was offered a 2 yr work permit but found out that our lad and his wife are expecting, due in December, and wife thinks she will become too attached, so rather than take a valuable LMO we declined. So, just one year, but we both enjoyed every minute and may even come back again!
No comparison whatsoever with the other firm whatsoever, no complaints and plenty of miles/brass.

I put some stories up on another part of this Trucknet and a whole lot of know-it-alls came along and picked holes in everything I wrote. Most disappointing after I had used spell-checker and some punctuation. You have to be pretty thick-skinned on here.
Good luck to Mick and Cath when you get back to the UK. There’s always jobs in Manitoba if you ever decide to return.

Thanks for the good luck wishes Chris, but if we return it would probably be to the same company.
I’m surprised you didn’t do something more with your NZ adventure… will it be in a book?
