Overnight Parking Oldham/Ashton Under Lyne?

Anyone overnighted on Alexandria Drive Ind Est?

Is it ok?

Don’t think you can overnight anywhere down there mate.

You can nip to Globe Lane Industrial Estate in Dukinfield, or we get a few that park at the old Grampian Food site at Queens Road, Ashton Under Lyne, and there’s a few other places, but I’m pretty sure you can’t park anywhere near The Car People.

I thought it was bigrig, been down a few times delivering, but as I live in the area, I don’t really notice much lol.
I remember something like that because I was thinking, 'a brand new industrial estate with no parking in the area :unamused: :imp: ’
Pretty sure it’s all double yellows too, because I noticed a traffic warden taking an interest in a car transporter delivering to The Car People and gave him a nice blast of airhorns on way out of my delivery :smiling_imp:

BUT, I’ve just looked on streetview on google maps and can see neither double yellows or any signs about overnight parking■■?

I can’t be arsed getting in my car to check, so just have a look around mate, if there’s no signs, then park up - The Harvester is good for grub :smiley:

Yeah, I thought it looked OK from streetview but was a bit suspicious it might be double-yellow as couldn’t see any lorries parked anywhere.

Will probably go for a layby somewhere off the M60.

I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve gone too close to the drop only to have to drive right back to the outskirts to find somewhere to park.

Road at back of B&Q at Ashton under lyne is fairly quiet. (Snipe Retail Park) a few places to eat nearby too. Just next to M60 junction too so access is easy.

Not a bad spot. I used to deliver there regular on nights. Always a few trucks parked up there. Nice and quiet and out of the way.
