Over the water in the 90's EC and beyond

I missed that one. I also zoomed in and used a magnifying glass but I couldn’t make much out.
Come on Robert have you got some more but a bit bigger.

Jeff…

I can make out the ones already mentioned and I agree about the Bowker wagon and drag. On the front row there’s a wagon and drag belonging to Ro-TIR, who were a big Romanian outfit. There’s a French Sitra frigo job middle of the third row back; and a Merc with a Martintrux spread-axle tilt.

I took loads of these at different times at Dover but they’re all stuffed in a shoe-box marked ‘out-takes’ in storage. When I return to Blighty I’ll did 'em out and post them here. Robert

Ferryline scania ,middle row on left second to end, hargreave daf at back by itself, got some new specs last week this is a good test for them

Second row left blue Merc 16 26 blue tilt white writing ? Pan alpine ?

Panalpina have always amused me because their trailers used to have ‘5 Continents’ written on the side. Then, when America decided that were six, Panalpina just went along with it and put ‘6 Continents’ instead! Robert

The first row on the right is east west 2 or 3 series scania and second row six from the left is millar scania 3 series I think but I could be wrong

Before anyone gets excited about my provocative statement about America deciding there were 6 continents. Don’t worry, variously around the world, kids are taught that there are 4, 5, 6 or 7 continents depending on how you look at it; and depending on whether you count landmass or tectonic plate zones as continents. And depending on whether you count submerged continental shelves etc. Technically, Greenland could be a continent if Australia is. Asia is joined to Europe so why is it two continents?

It’s like trying to herd cats or classify ERFs!! Robert

It looks a bit bigger than that ?

Jeff…

For continents I would have to say
North America.
South America.
Europe /Asia / Russia all one.
Africa is joined to that, so it’s a bit sketchy in my book, but if you can separate two continents with only a canal ( Panama ); then Africa would have to be a separate continent as well ( Suez ).
Greenland is a marginal decision.
Antarctica.
I never bought into the " India is a sub continent " thing.

Jeff…

Classic bit of Spanish parking here… Robert

Well spotted Jeff, it does look like my M.A.N, the drawbar is RO-TIR., and this would have to be taken pre 1993 I moved on to my Iveco in that year.
Dave.
