Over night parking in a van

Hi all am looking for any suggestions for parking in or around Porto Portugal hotels/truck stop thanks in advance.

Matosinhos is a good place, beach there with numerous places to eat, head to Leca de Palmeria, which is the large docks and port .
Or failing that, a km or two north of Matosinhos beach is the very large oil or fuel refinery.
Plenty of quiet spots on the sea front.
New tram and bus links to Porto centre to have a look around ,cheap hostels to stay in ,look for the word Pension .
Most shops sell UK newspapers or at the airport .
Or try the industrial estates at Maia and Gaia.

Hi E.K.
There is a nice area “away from it all” a few klicks Nth of Matosinhos called Praia de Angeiras. Right on the beach are some nice restaurants and bars etc, its a nice little town, I used to pull the pin and bounce up there solo on a Friday if I was weekended. I used to park outside and eat in a family run beach front restaurant, Bar Praia Azul the son was called Victor. Great food and plenty of Vino Verde…Lagosta or Gatao.
Check it out on Google Maps/ Earth. Streetview.
Enjoy.

In cafes and restaurants ask for a Franchesina con sauce piquante.
A foot high mega sandwich with steak, eggs, ham and cheese topped with hot spicy sauce.
Or the soupa Verde cabbage or kale soup.
Tango is beer with red fruit syrup called Grosella.
Tosta mista is ham cheese toasties.
Bacalau is dried salted cod.
