As a european driver of some years and still on the case i have had the scum try to break into the cab a few times whilst sleeping, Luckily never experienced gas. I have been using the famous Straps from inside door handle to the other door, However this dident stop my lock getting destroyed from their screwdrivers and tools they use,
Some years back i saw some Truckers using those visable doors locks attatched to the outside handle of the cab, These are a great deterent and the bandits can move on to the next truck and leave me alone, These products were made by a firm called PROTEC However i noticed they have stopped making them now and another firm named VIPER produce them at 170 quid each and one needs 2 of these and thats crazy money, does anyone know where i can get them used,Cheap or cheaper,
Sorry but for your first post this is almost worded like an advert which the powers at be here don’t like unless you’re crossing their palms with silver. Considering you know who makes them and how much they cost, I’m surprised you haven’t just used google to answer your own question. After all, it would have been so much quicker than the time it took you to register here and post this.

The guy is saying that buying them new is stupid because they are really expensive, and if you actually had a look on the net I.e ebay there aren’t any there for sale second hand. So just maybe he is asking here if anyone knows if there is somewhere to buy them cheaper.

If it were an advert there’d be something to tell us how/where to buy the item.
I’m not seeing anything like that, so I’m not seeing any issues with the OP.
I use the ones your talking about and they are great. the only thing though is if you have dead locks in side as well make sure that if the driver side dead lock is on don’t jump out the passenger side… you get locked out then. as you say they are visible and a great deterant. I’m not to sure if they are still selling them though as anytime i have emailed the company i haven’t had a reply… lucky for me someone from the firm i work for left so i got his. also i think 170 is a small price to pay if you have a laptop phone etc in the cab… they will cost a lot more then 170 to replace if they do get nicked
Gassing happens. I’ve never had it but I know 3 driver who have had it happen. Why wouldn’t the thriving ■■■■■■■■ knock you out? Less chance of them getting the hiding they deserve
