I suspect I am no different to many here in that, over the decades, I have earnt a crust (or tried to) doing things other than carting someone else’s stuff from point A to point F via points E, N, W and S.
IOW we all have more than one string to our respective bows, so what other jobs/ careers/ professions did you pursue/ dabble in/ try your hand at?
(Justin Case anyone was wondering: inter alia despatch rider in London in the 80s, greenkeeper (failed), tree surgeon (not the best at climbing), arboriculturist, partner in an ecological consultancy and part-time tech college teacher)
Me also green keeper when I got banned for six months, could ride a bike that far then, farm contracting as its in me blood , then transport all the way till retirement and let me boys carry on, now part time beef farming as a hobby, gotta do summit cant sit in a chair can you, Buzzer
21yo and could drink like a fish back then

Well bu66er me I quite forgot, I used to work on a farm when I was still at school. Nothing like the farms you get these days mind, this one was a hill farm in Cornwall, all 90-something acres of it. They (and I) thought a Power Major was something.
This was my trusty (but somewhat bent) steed when I rode for Delta in the 80s.
Bought for fifty quid as a spares bike, VGH turned out to be a bl00dy good thing.
Ran this for a while in the 80s, good Scania lump in it but didn’t get enough work though.
