IIRC Inter city transport replaced there first 95’s with 3200’s
I found a 3300 and 3600 with the “new” cab:
It seems that the old DAFs continued after the 95 came out, then got the 95-style grille in 1990. We can only speculate as to why they changed the model numbers to 2900 and 3200 in some countries- possibly embarrassment that they were having to reintroduce a discontinued model?
Hi Anorak - maybe they did for other markets , but i don’t recall seeing any UK 28/33/3600’s after E reg
archive.commercialmotor.com/arti … -daf-badge , IIRC some operators found the 95 too ‘high tech’ , one of the reasons Daf brought back the old cabbed 3200

Yes, this seems to be the case: there are pictures all over the internet of 95-style 3300s etc, so they must have carried them on in less “sophisticated” markets. The later introduction of the 2900/3200 suggests that DAF initially underestimated British operators’ aversion to progress!
That African 3600 looks the business- as if it would carry a 20+ ton load almost anywhere.
That looks good

Yes , they only had a short run - H,J & K are the only ones i recall , about the same as the 80 series
Hiya the 28/3300 range was a good motor. it was the sitting position and the smaller steering wheel that was comfortable on the 95,
saying that i always liked the small windscreen on the 3300. mind you i’am a short ■■■.

DAF introduced the FA/FT2800 in 1973. The cab F241 was a result of the earlier cabs like on the
1600, 1800, 2000 and 2200. Herewith a picture of the extra interior for the genuine internationals!
@Robert…here one of the Groenenboom DAF 2800,
bear in mind it was close on the yard with the ERF’'s.

Robert…Centrum was a splendid company but had severe tax-problems with their
non-local drivers and is now absorbed into Henri Essers of Belgium.
