Have to say was a bit unsure about doing courses online. But I’m quite enjoying them.
Especially when you can split it over 2 evening’s
Was a bit about technology mirrored Trucks.
I’ve never drove one yet.
But Was a video from Merc the guy set a marker and set it up for his trailer length.
About 5 people on course said they drive mirroless. And never knew that.
So at least learnt something.
Was a section on one course about mental health.
But other course contents was same old old seen it all before. Wish they’d update it more.
But yea online isn’t as bad as thought it was going to be. And lot better than sitting in a class room all day
Yes you do have the set the lines to at least the trailer length, same on our DAFS. But as it says it is not an exact science and the driver still needs to use caution. So I set them beyond the trailer length anyway and still use the camera feed to check how far past a vehicle I am before attempting to move back left.
It’s handy I guess but I still wouldn’t rely on it being an exact science.
That’s entirely down to the individual training provider. Despite what some people believe, the Government don’t hand out courses from on high, each course is created by the training provider and submitted for approval to DVSA by that individual training provider.
