As it says I’ll be on my way over next Tues (24 july) Hope to bump into a few of you guys once I get settled and on the road which I hope wont take to long lol.
Seen so many threads (couple I started) asking for info and that. As H&R are back over here in Sept doing another round of interviews was thinking of starting a thread of how I find it, whats happening etc in hope to help anyone else out and saves the good old ‘my mate told me’ What do you guys think on that?
A diary is a good idea, but you may cut your own throat, H&R are not big fans of the forums (so I hear) but as long as you ain’t slagging them off, it should be fine
You have an interesting few months ahead of you, all the new stuff you’ll see and the places you’ll go to
Good luck Taffy! It will be one hell of a steep learning curve but stick at it and you’ll be fine. My best advice is to ask questions about everything…its so different here the mind boggles at times so if ever in doubt, ask for help. Again, the very best of luck to you and hopefully see you soon!
thanks guys from what I have heard so far is keep your mouth shut expect to do a few unpaid miles then it gets easier from there. Someone from the forum who is already over there for H&R has offered to do my orientation runs for me so thats a small bonus so long as i get a good report lol Hope to have a small welsh flag sticker on the drivers do so keep eye out when parked up
I came over in Feb this year working in Manitoba, the first few weeks can be a little stressful but once you get passed that I find it a lot easier then tramping along that M4 everyday, my only regret is I wish I’d moved here year’s ago, Hope everything goes well for you and Canada is all you expect it is.

Hey taffy don’t know if i’ll still be able to sort out your mental run as I’ve just done my pike licence so will be running those starting in a few hours time, not something i thought id be doing so quickly but the course had a free space.
