BRS FH66:
1971, 200 miles north of Carnarvon, 200 miles south of Dampier. Mack R600 with a quad-box and only 220hp. Three trailers of water pipes off the rail-head at Geraldton bound for the Millstream Cape Lambert pipeline. Pin came out of the ring feeder on the first trailer allowing the A-frame of the second trailer to dig into the dirt road and roll it over. First and third trailers remained upright. Sorry about the quality of the photo.

Sorry mate, I’ve spent 5 years of my retirement on Photoshop trying to restore this shot. It is a digital shot of a 43 year old colour print that is well and truly stuffed.

I think an ex-copper was driving one of those?
Hiya Harry, You could be thinking of the Hebden Bridge crash in the 90s the 8 wheeler Foden in Tilcon colours with the defective brakes, maybe cheers Sepo

The one you mean I think, was at the top of Bolton Brow in SOWERBY BRIDGE,just down the road from me.
Several people lost their lives,a terrible tradgedy indeed.
Regards JOHN.
Bit of a gruesome tale to this damage on this workshop shot of an R112,the damage is the exact imprint of a human body,if you lean into the damaged grille.A University professor comitted “hari kari” by jumping in fron’t of it from the hard shoulder on the M6 northbound at Lancaster, the motor was doing nearly 60 MPH and witnesses said the geezer was tossed into the air a good 20 feet. Our driver,Mick Cross, never stood a chance as the bloke jumped out from the front of his car which had the bonnet up so he could hide from view.

Looks like Bell Bros mate, always good to see photos of their gear. You were lucky that the dog trailer didn’t go over too.
The driver of this 112 never turned the yellow line on and proceeded to put the whole outfit through a Ladies hairdressers salon at 6 am one morning on Kingsway in Rochdale,The"■■■■■■■ Cheers Dennis.
