Hi Volvorunner - oh yeah summat like that i recall the linfood brand?? but its 25 years ago now They had FL7s on Texas Homecare, ERF’s on Howard Smith paper then got the homebase contract off National carriers .
It was around this time Budgens was built on park farm - think TNT ran it then , had fleet of cream G reg Fodens , also Mothercare had smart fleet of pale blue Leyland Roadtrains drawbars (BRS )- have you any pics ?
Hi boris no pic of them yet .Do know of a guy for budgens driven a f7 for them when they started and his son carl worked for texas with a fl7. Hi volvorunner , yeah seen that youtube vid before - who would of thought that BRS would be no more , nice clip of the old BRS yard at Lodge farm ( now C Butts depot ) & a Travis & arnold wagon n drag - BRS had quite a few contracts with drawbar/demounts around that time , Habitat & Dana Spicer were 2 others i recall

First time on this site, I saw Tonyhogi said about David Abbott’s Berliet.I drove that truck from new all over
west and east europe and the uk untill it was sold by Harborne when they took over David Abbott Haulage.
It was registerd in Manchester GBU147V thats were Renalt’s head UK office was. and distributed
by Derick Jones.
the power unit was a TR305 turbo intercooler and a Fuller 9 speed gear box and eaton back axial.BY the way Tony I think your my cousin Jim ( Wilf )
