Is that as in Goodwill’s at Twyzell Cottage?

I suppose you could say Stobarts was North East cos he had about 5 moters based at Chirton in the days when he was starting to grow, cant remember what work they did (maybe Kevmac might nremember) didnt last that long. Hope that answers your question eddie Stobart fan

Kenny, all I can vaguely recall is it may have been something to do with the work formerly done by
Oughtred Harrison who packed in the N/E depot and moved back to Hull. I may be wrong but
someone is bound to come up with the answer. Regards Kev.

Stobarts used to work out of Armstrong on the Valley before Fergies got the work about 2002/3.

Cannot remember when it was Brian /Kev but think it was before 1987 thats when I left Collinsons where we used to work out of Chirton at Angloplas.

Thats right Stobart took it off Van Hee, & Bill Cordon, But guess what they lost it because, their trailers had too many dodgey floors, & that came from a fork lift driver, he told me when I was tipping a container there, they had a list of trailer numbers on a wall chart that they wouldnt load because fo the holes, Oh dear what a shame, Ha Ha, Regards Larry

These ERFs, Reg 1938, Belonged to my great uncle Isaac Smiles, They had walking floors, Worked manualy with a handle, The were rubber, as you can see on the front of the headboard, the one at the rear of the body was under the floor, Does anyone know where West Tyne Gravel Co was located ? I was once told that it was Acomb, ?. These wagons were taken for the war effort, & were seen in France, one of Smiles sons drove one of them himself, great history . It would be nice if someone could shed some light on this matter, Regards Larry
