shephardsNow there’s something that you didnt see very often, 1 of Sheppy’s parked up!!!
Is that the Shephards from down Bishop way? I can remember running scrap out of Dalzeill works at Motherwell into Lackenby and they were on the job. I think it was J J Wards from Leaming that we subbed it off. Shephards “sailed a bit close to the wind” if you get my drift. At the time the Yorkshire Post were running a bit of a campaign against them.
Thats them, I had a mate on there for a while. Lets just say that He slept well on His day off if you know what I mean…
What happens when you get too close to the edge on the tip

I was given that photo from Keith Simpson whos father drove that 86, im sure he said he got it from John Young. Did Brian Craig and John Young form a partnership B&J Haulage or am i getting my wires crossed?
Kieth lives 2 doors from me I gave him the photo when he was at Tulips he gave me the original back which I still have. John Young was in partnership with some called Bob it wasnt Brian Graig he packed in & started a taxi business I think it was called Tartan Taxis from Killingworth. Regards Larry
