Transporterman, when did that happen? Is that at the end of the A57 Parkway?

paw123, who does that dark blue 4x4 Suzuki Vitara on the right belong to?

That looks like the bottom of the parkway to me, just after the weird split roundabout and speed camera. My uni is just along the road and I live away up the hill to the left

Definately the Parkway in Sheffield.

So why are you not called Sheffieldbell?

Consett is still home I’m just temporarily a southerner  I was still at home all the time when I joined here, must have been a few years ago now

Devon is a long way from the North East! Where the Glendinnings originally from Scotland?

Is the old depot at Shotley Bridge now an housing estate?

I’ve had a look at Shotley Bridge on google it looks quite a pleasant place I thought it would have been more industrial, was the pub called Kings Head the local for Glendinnings?

A couple of action shots from Steven Foster this week
Starting with the best looking driver and best looking wagon at Pattersons

Hi,
Island Garage & yard is now a housing estate,“Bridge Island”, Kings Head closest ,Shotley Club(closed now) and

Hi Harry,
I think the “gadgie” as you call him looks very smart in the photo.
Is it right what you say that you were the only long distance driver at Glennys? I thought they were almost all on nationwide work…

Hi George
I think the name Glendinninng originates from Scotland, however as far as I can gather Glendinnings haulage people including the Devon company all originate from the NE.

Was trying not to break this "little " convo up or thought we might be re-naming this thread

It looks a very pleasant place, however I imagine some of the larger vehicles would struggle to get in and out of the yard. Was the yard sold by Glendinnings so they could make a large profit by building houses on it?

Does anyone have any photos of Econofreight’s DAFs.

Here’s some more glendinnings photo’s
