I had one of the 1st Glennys DAF2500s.
Some more Glenny drivers, Beven Easter, Billy Cowell, and a couple of Shotley drivers whose surnames cant remember, Derek, the ice cream man and Billy, thick as pig [zb], had Uncle Biz in his cab window??
Derek Dunstan was the ice cream man, Billy Harrison was Uncle Buzz.
Who is that??
Buzza, the clue is in the name…! Its hardly going to be young man John is it?

Great photos how many Bedford TM’s did they have?
There was a picture somewhere on here of one of their ERF 8 wheel tippers.
Hi George There was only one TM, it was used as a shunter in Wavin. There was a few ERF 8 wheeler tippers in fact the first B series 8 wheeler was one of the first B series built and the first in the North East, They produced 8 wheelers before the tractor units. ERF took several photos of this truck tipping in Consett and used them as publicity.

Its registered as HRG60R, but in this picture from Bob Tuck’s book its HRG60N:
You can tell that this was one of the first B Series by the windscreen, the corners of the screen are nearly square this was causing the windsreen pillars to crack, all trucks were modified by fitting small radius fillets in each corner which fixed the fault.
