Does anybody remember a bloke called Geoff Austin running under the name Lyn Morgan Transport. He used to do container work for Securicor Omega out of Leeds Container Terminal and he also ran a few tippers on Youngies coal job at Widdrington. He lived at Bishop Middleham but I think he came from Ferryhill. I worked for him for a short while about 2001 on the tippers till the ■■■■■■-back men took away his trailers and all the fancy units. He was running all the wagons on kerosene and “Irish”, the last I heard the Customs & Excise raided his place at Bowburn Industrial Estate and impounded all his motors. Most of his drivers seemed to belong Consett way for some reason.
Yes revman l remember Coxons Crows bought one of their motor a black Seddom mk5. sorry l do not have any photos Regards Ralph
hiya,
There’s one or two lads on here who know George Walton used to have his own motors and a good pal of mine for about 40 years i did the the odd job for him after i retired, well he called at my place for a cuppa i do see him a couple of times a year, and where was he going when he left mine?? he was off believe it or not to give a young lad a "roping and sheeting " lesson seemingly he’s taking a one off flat trailer to London and the load has to be roped and sheeted, good lad Geordie.
thanks harry long retired.

I spent a good hour waiting for big mick to appear only to find I was sitting next to him!! don’t know whether to put it down to senility on my part or we may have changed very slighly in the last fifteen years.
Anyway I’m looking forward to the next “bash” on 27th Dec. lets hope a few more read this and attend. KMC.
A message for the ■■■■■, in mid October you posted a reply about knowing Big Mick who ran out of the Throckley Brickworks, did you run out of there or who did you work for it would be nice to know.
