By Waldo I take it you mean Geordie (deep pockets) Harry? look
forward to seeing you both there Harry. Ps young Geordie would
be a welcome addition. regards kev.

hiya,
Kev I haven’t seen young Geordie for a long time the last time I saw him he was still an O/D and I put new kinpins and bushes in the second steer of the MAN he had at the time, I’ll tell Waldo to have another go at getting his lad there as well, as you say It’s good “do” and from memory young Geordie likes a drop or two of beer and it always tastes nicer in the company of friends and former workmates.
thanks harry long retired.

You spotter
The thing I always found weird was as they cross the Tyne Bridge in that film the “Get Carter Car Park” hadn’t been built yet, of course it’s been there all my lifetime & now as you cross you get the same scene

In case anyone’s interested here’s a link to the rest of my Get Carter photo album which I compiled about 3 years ago to relieve the boredom

hi just got a photo off my mother of my dad and jimmy blackburn standing beside his old caledonion beaver in the weyroc factory at hexham

Great can you put it on the thread, im sure like myself Jimmy has plenty of drivers from his era would like to see the photo, in fact I would like to see him just for old times sake, a cracking pair were the the Blackburn boys, its nice to know from Bumper they are still around. I remember Jimmy driving Martins Leyland with a Servis Recorder bolted to the drivers door, Ideal place, for the driver, leave the motor running with the door open & it would show the vehicle was moving, old tricks of the trade in those good old days, Another one comes to mind Big Gordie Skinner he worked at Smilers at the time, he was naughty so they put a clock in his AEC. But Gordie had a friend who could get him bits of Dry Cardice, he wrapped around the clock somehow, it stopped the thing for days no trace of anything, it drove Bob Smiles crazy, so they changed the clock but it made no differance, good old Gordie Skinner, I wonder if he is still about, Regards Larry
