yes thats the same fella nice lad to i worked with the dormans at D&A as well until the end then went back to old trade inthe air line industry but still did a bit part time for simsons does any one know if clive bell still at it (heatherloper) he was a great block to work with had some good laughs with himand some mischvious ones john

That Foden with the unusual(export?) cab,you’ve put a better picture of it on the Foden thread pulling a single axle low loader trailer that has got me wondering if it’s the same one operated by Chambers Plant Hire.It seems strange that there would be two of them round here,if it is Chambers unit it was driven by a mate of my dad’s Luke Amin and the trailer could be the single axle one Henry Thompson later bought off Chambers,have you any other pictures of it please mate.

bob who did you work for as i started for D&A in pottery lane and went to birtley i was there till the end before that i worked for deigton bros old ralph as a fitter and before that going backword tt walker cazaly bros ken allison rolly hands walker bros started driving early 1964

Have had a few lifts along the A68 in this beauty when hitching back to the motor
after a dodgy night out always got a lift off one of Salky’s at the Castleside x-roads
if they wasn’t travelling via Consett it was nearly always this with the low-loader on
that went towards Hexham.

hello you lot, this is memory lane, its keith boyle & yes i am still on the cars, got told off a mate of mine that these pics were on here, i am guessing the heed is john & the greek is kenny, barrie is internal now at nissan loves it i am sure i seen john at the airport when i was delivering hire cars but it was one of those is it him times when you dont want to make a fool of yourself, know what your thinking its never bothered me before, that daf 2500 sgr690v was mine & you were right about saviem being mattys, & the right hand drive white was barries hope you are all well will start looking here more often.

Aye your right kev brother as well , have known Kieth since he first had his licence when he was on for Ge Armstrong when they were on Bensham bank in fact I think he went from Armstrongs to Davidsons. Then when Davidsons had thier bust up I worked with Kieth out of Melinate when he had the White & was working for Norman Keelyside. Me & him wrote to Tollmans at Brentwood when they were building Nissan got a nice reply but never got a job. Hes been on the cars quite a while now if he
s still driving havent seen him in prob last10 yr. You still on the daf Kev haven
t seen you for a while. Your mate crowbar got himself another award up at Corbridge the other day.
