Hello Davey. Johnny Falloon is my Brother, our Father is the late John Robert Falloon who was the digger driver at Cresswell. Johnny worked for Woods Sand and Gravel at Bebside as a Fitter. When Woody’s closed down soon after the death of Lance Wood he went to Drive for Binks at Bedlington and ended up re-treading tyres for the same outfit, I’ve got no idea what he is doing now?
Aye your old man Jonh was a a bloody genious when I worked with him loading the sand off the Cresswell Beaches he new exactley where the tide would stop and how much sand there would be the following day, He allways give his job his best shot, & when NAG Took over a fellow called Bob Hodgson from Catterick came up to see him & worked out how the job would run under the new owners, I used to pick him up at Kitty Brewster Bridge when the new owners first took over, Then they got him a Bedford Van to travel up to the beach at Cresswell, Happy days Eh, Regards Larry.

hi,sorry to learn about bill lister, he was one of the good guys,is his brother jimmy still around last time i spoke to jimmy must have been 20 years a go he was working for an Irish outfit, big jeff enjoy your retirement, i been finished 9 years now, and have loved every minute off it, there is a new world out there and great to get paid-ed for doing nothing

Spoke to Jimmy last night on the phone, he’s still doing European work for some Irish outfit.He’s away months at a time but they flew him straight home …
