There,s and old boy who drives a scania 45ft er round west wales, class 1 who can,t read the paper work in the yard he,s waiting for an op but in the mean time is still out on the road…the managers know but are turning a blind eye(sorry)…his regular run is multidrop narbeth ,tenby area.So the office jockey,s have put a drivers mate with him. Found out he,s got two cataracts one in each eye… Keep an eye out for him cos he ain,t gonna see you. the company also have their own doctor ,handy that

Up until 6 months ago,I used a cheap magnifying glass to read p.o.d,s etc ,I once took a new lad out with me and the look on his face when I got the magnifying glass out to read my paper work/defect sheets etc was a sight to behold,I reassured him I could see ok to drive ,I’ve now got glasses,finally realised £69 from spec- savers wasn’t the end of the world young lad still tells the story now and again
N.b when I put my glasses on for the first time,I said bloody hell to mrs you didn’t look like that 20 yrs ago ,took a lot of flowers to bring her round,she really didn’t see the funny side
