As promised, Iāll post a few of the photos that seem to have gone missing off this threadMy motor for a while on LDT - Mosspak
Thought all them ldt drivers spent all there time in the club next to mosspak, it was broken down most of the time.
That may well be true !!! - Not anymore though - it burnt down last year
true that DAF wasānt the best, didnāt have it for long, had one of the F10ās andd the Scania 112 after that - Happy Days

Yeah, it was Neville, he was there for years, real nice guy, donāt know what happened to him when they shut.

does anybody know what happend to sturges they used to have a spot in shelton steel work,s used to be a family affair used to have mainly e r f ,s .used to be a few small haulage men pulling out of there but all seem to have gone as with the steel works .

Hiya i saw the surge lads at a rally in Smallwood last year. i used to load off cut girders from there in the early 80ās for
Sheffield. John has a fab shop just off the A 34.i donāt know what Alan and Malc are doing i never asked them
but did speak with them. Alan has a photo site on Flikka i forget what he calls it. if you go to Google then images
then key in J K Sturge lorries youāll find a few photoās of their lorries around the steel works. there are more but i
canāt remember where to find them

thank,s for that we used to load back the same but to lackenby. that was in the 80,s alway,s seemed a decent set of lad,s nice to hear they all still about. probly something to do with being out of the waggon game.
Just an update on the Sturge bros, Gary & Malc are now working for Stuart bowler plant hire Malc is in the garage & a bit of plant driving ,Gary drives the low loader.Alan is now semi retired but still does 2 days a week on the shunter at Sainsburys where i have the missfortune to de the driver trainer.
I am actualy out with Alan & his wife Jean tonight for a curry & deisel talk & will pass on all your comments. his flikr name is Bedford Al if you want to see some brill pics

Sorry to hear this sad news, only knew Top Cat from this site but he knew my dad from B.E.Tā¦ R.I.P
More sad news lads, Just heard Mick Minor passed away yesterday x DWP & many others.They say it comes in threeās so there you go lads a very sad loss to our industry. The likes of these lads are very few & far between & I am sure most of us have got some great memories of them.Condolences to all their families & friends.
