Hi Daz, just joined on here myself. yes i can remember DMT transport. i think they used to be up on outer circle road & deacon road. thats going back some time. did you work for them. nick.

Any of you Lincolnshire lads remember Spriggs from Bicker,I think they only ran a couple of motors on market work. I wondered what happened to them?

I,m very interested in the pics you have of Russ Fenwicks Trucks.
I worked for Russ for a while (good boss) driving an 8 wheeler ERF Cseries powder tank. Russ had it converted by Jennings to a sleeper cab.
Do you happen to have a pic of that one or any of his 8 wheeler tanks?

Cheers Bassman

whats your name bassman, my dads bert fewster you’l no doubt no him and i havnt any pics of the 8 wheelers i was only a very small boy i should say, i know russ has some

Hi, Scania27,My name is Mick Lowe, worked for Russ in the late 80,s along with Ray Smith, Clive Halloran the late Pat Colley,Richard can,t remember his surname and Terry Johnson and of course the one and only late Nev Briggs.
I know your Dad ,Bert. When Bert came to Russ, I had what was his F12 (FEE 140Y I think that was the reg.) for a while., then Pat Colley got it .
I mainly had the ERF C series tank but Russ moved me about if another driver went sick or didn,t turn in.
Russ was a good boss and the reason I left him was to go back to an own account firm, in his line Russ was one of the better ones in our area.
If you do come across any pics of Russ,s 8 wheeler tanks, especially the C series with the sleeper cab please post me. I spoke to Roy not to long ago, he told me a box of Russ,s photo,s had gone missing, which is probably why I can,t get any pic,s from Russ.

Cheers Bassman

ill see if i come across any photos ill be sure to post them, a member on here has nev’s f89 now russ sold that a few months ago now

Just been reading the thread about the F89 restoration.
Did you say that that is where Nev Briggs old F89 has gone? IT would be nice to see it back on the road-- even nicer to see Nev driving it!
Did you know there is a picture (or was ) of it on Nev,s gravestone ?

Cheers Bassman

bassman yes that is where the 89 has gone, and i not sure if i was around when nev died, i know his son dean who used to drive for my dad

Scania 27

Is the F89 going to make a visit back for Russ to see, just to tease him a bit. If it does come back into the area make sure you get a photo.

I remember Dean working for your dad , I, ve seen quite a bit of Dean through work over the past few years, used to deliver to Warren lane.
Get that scanner going , let,s see more pics of Russ,s trucks.

Cheers Bassman

bassman, im unsure if rowland (rward) will have it on the same registration, but you never know it would be very nice to see it in all its glory, heres a few pics of it a year ago.
