Hiya Vic, that one (horse!) power shell tanker was my first ‘motor’ at Harold Woods!! p.s, I’ve seen that Clugston motor a few times lately, if it’s the same one we are talking about the driver is not a lady, if so she has a cracking beard!!Regaeds, Mizzo.

Now then Les,do you remember the sign(290 horses and just 1 donkey) :open_mouth: what i thought was a coat on the cart mabe a blanket or could it be a Donkey coat :frowning:

Nah!,it’s the blanket for the donkey,I had my jacket on when I was having my Bacon sarnie and brew in the Irish bar,you don’t think I would leave anything valuable on “the motor”,“H” or “Nosser” could have been on holiday and wandering past,no I wouldn’t tempt fate by leaving my days takings on “the motor” !! Cheers Dennis.

You seem to have the "job"of to a T,We may be able to learn “H” the the game, but i think he done the job in Leeds way back in time!!! P.S.I Thought he would have joined in on this one, maybe he has’nt got time with his new found “stardom” Vic.

Top 1 Classic Shell/BP Artic-Eight, bottom one was Export maybe? Don’t remember seeing tanks like that in UK, & the cab has very much a Scammell Mountaineer look to it to me, also nice big chunky bumper!

Just liked the pic’

BP/Shell Thornycroft, 50s.

More flexible on this work than a artic, when you don’t need the extra capacity just leave it at the yard, or this little trailer would be easy to just leave in a lay-bye while you went up that narrow lane!

Tidy little motor!

Short trailer for urban/country/limited access garages.
