O license disc/annual test

Does a tractor unit have to have an o license disc present to go through its annual test?

I have a new vehicle that is due to get tested tomorrow however it’s o license disc hasn’t arrived yet, I have a little bit of conflicting information, one says it won’t get tested without an o license disc in it, the other says not. I’m sort of thinking it shouldn’t matter but though I’d ask you lot who might have a definitive answer!

No it doesn’t need an o licence disk.

Not needed or hire companies would never be able to MOT their fleet

Thanks that what I thought but the garage that had prepped it for mot were Adam it would need a disc in it!

Most of the restored trucks which do the show circuit aren’t specified on an O licence but they still need an MOT if they were manufactured after 1960.
