Hi Rob,

I’ve had an intravenous drip due to dehydration following an operation, but that was put in by using a cannula that they used several times in the lead-up to the operation, so in my case that wasn’t a problem.

The consultant explained to me that getting blood out is far easier than putting something in.
TBF to the staff, I do have unusually thick skin as noted by more than one consultant on many occasions, so on this occasion I don’t really feel justified in complaining. I just felt that the hullabaloo wasn’t really anybody’s fault in particular.

By the way, my veins aren’t deep-seated, so that wasn’t the problem for me the other day.
Having gone through what I’ve gone through, I can only guess at what you’ve suffered when they need to go fishing about to even find your veins.

I think the newspapers would describe it as “multiple stab wounds” in both our cases. :stuck_out_tongue:

Hi Jenny,

I’ve just checked my mail after getting back from a week of working away from home, but I’ve not had anything from the hospital yet.

My punctures are all fixed now though!!

Hope you hear from the hospital soon Dave, glad your punctures are all good now

dieseldave:
do you know of anybody else who went from Ellesmere Port to Liverpool and back, who picked up seven punctures along the way?

Made me smile.

Hope you get good news soon

As for the Acromegaly, we always knew you were a giant among men! :sunglasses:

Don’t wander by that often Dave, just to say hope everything goes smoothly for you.

Hi, like those before me, how are you getting on? Hope all is going well for you. Best wishes
