Harry Monk:
Either God cannot stop this, in which case he is not all-powerful.
Or God could stop this but chooses not to, in which case he is evil.
Or God does not exist.
Personally, I’m going with number 3.
Imagine you are “King of the World”.
You might get off your arse to “Stop a War”, but you’re not even going to interrupt your proverbial breakfast to “Stop some lone gunman in a country far away” - are you?
Does that mean a “King of the World” is NOT all powerful, or just that “All Powerful” is the extent of the regime’s total REACH, rather than their day-to-day involvement at a local level?
“Evil” is commited by those who do it, not those who fail to stop it.
“Evil Triumphs - when the good do nothing”.
It is easier for Evil to rule Good (Good pretends to be “Liberal” for a quiet life)
It is harder for Good to rule Evil (Evil will cause mayhem and then say "See what you made me do? - NOT MY LEADER!)
It’s not as if God is watching each and every one of our personal experiences, as if viewed though the “Bodycamera” of our eyes…
Those things experienced, seen, heard, and affecting MILLIONS AT ONCE - will likely come to God’s notice rather more than “That toe you just stubbed” or “That job you just lost” or even “That lottery you just won”.
The rest is faith.
Do you believe that say, Bakhmut Ukrainians have been mostly killed by (1) Putin’s forces, (2) Ukrainian Forces, (3) Both sides Equally to blame?
Just think of how unlikely (3) is, on “balance of probability” alone…
The rest is Faith.
“Good and Evil” - which is which? - is ALSO “Faith” of course.
If you have no faith, then you’ll believe what likely the first evil people to reach your ears - tell you.
The “Truth” is often the very last thing to be heard, and the very first thing to be obsfucated - especially in wartime.
