Well it looks like it will only be me turning up the Gaydon show, no Harry, and Ang has gone quite, do you think she is sulking because she can’t get a class one job!

Over two years since I saw Trevor H, big lad, reminds me of that TV series " Grizzly Adams", he was kind to animals, now I think about it, he behaves like him. Because whenever he is around Durham, he takes care to bring a bottle of whisky to that shorthair Blackburn terrier named Harry!

Been yesterday for a eye test, pick up my new glasses next thursday, I should see good after my bionic eye, I wonder if it will give me x-ray vision. could have fun, where is Ang, I could test it out on her.

You’re certainly correct Dave but only applicable in our early years, there’s
still a few smaller family firms on the go who appreciate their drivers but
only a few are left now and the problem with these companies is the work
is so repetative and as a result very boring for my type of job, these firms
usually have drivers who can tolerate doing the same thing day in day out,I
was a driver who liked variety and got fed up if I did the same type of work
in the same direction two days in a row, hence the large amount of outfits
I’ve worked for (over two dozen) that includes three stints at the BRS, and
if I hadn’t done a while for the Red and Rust I don’t think I’d have stuck it out
as a driver for a working lifetime, Oh’ and the short spell as a deep sea fish-
erman, I loved that but it was only going to be temporary with no chance of
ever getting a full-time job, a very family oriented thing.

Dave do you think Harry would be out on the sea’s, at this time in he’s life Not bloody likely, freezing his hollyhocks, up against the mainbrace, sucking his fisherman’s friend. No he would be in his warm house toasting his toes and having a glass full of malt whiskey.

I’m going to put my feet up and have several single malts, all in the same
glass, her who must be obeyed will be out until 9.30 PM so I’m the skipper
on my own ship for three whole hours.
