Thanks Keith same to you, back to work for some of you youngsters, how I envy, no I don’t I can stay in warm bed.
Oh my god, only another 363 days to the end of the year, sometime I wonder how the days the months and the years pass me by! Surely it was only last year I came out of the army, and in September I was 21, and Ang was not even born, another song comes to mind " She must have been a beautiful baby". I am safe she don’t come on this thread.
Dave I said Ang don’t come on this thread.
Don’t think she likes buses Norm.Haven’t seen much of her on this thread.
Cheers Dave.
Are you saying Dave, I am safe as houses on this thread, and no chance of Ang finding out what I chat about, I could say in safety that she has a loverly bunch of coconuts, and it would not get back to her!

You could have a lovely pair of cauliflower ears if she does read this thread Norm.
Dave you know I’m a ex-middle east driver, we thrive on danger, it gives us a thrill or a buzz! Still it would be a challenge to see how I would stand up to the onslaugh, calm her with my boyish smile, dis-armer with a kiss, and comforter with a cuddle.

Good grief Norm.I’m much to young to be reading raunchy stuff like this.
By God Dave, you must be stuck in time in Wales and missed the swinging sixties.

Slept right through most of it Norm and worked the rest of the time mainly over the border in England.

hiya,
Ah’ yes the swinging sixties, I missed most of that decade too,
I was far too busy running bent so when I wasn’t driving I was
busy sleeping getting ready for the next days onslaught and it
was mostly seven days a week, still happy days though.
thanks harry, long retired.
Oh my god, two lost souls of the transport world, missed out on the beatles, bill haley, rock & roll, girls lifted high in the air showing their legs and other things.

I was swinging a pick axe and using a shovel in 1964 and getting a mans wage for doing it at 17.Put a bit of muscle on my arms ready to go as a plasterers mate on piecework. Those were the days until I went full time lorry driving at 20.
Cheers Dave.
So Dave no drainpipe trousers, brothel creepers, or winklepickers. and no rock & roll, that was one period in life you could throw young ladies about.
I was lucky to have a good pair of hob nailed boots Norm. Was throwing bales of hay and straw about on farms at nights earning 10 bob an hour cash in the 1960’s,and plenty of farmers were glad to pay it,as they had given up employing full time blokes. But they couldn’t get the harvest in on their own.We used to work in gangs of three, and yes I did have a steady girlfriend who I was with for six years.
Cheers Dave.

And when you got the chance “sleeping round the clock” after
“working round the clock”. But did we ever look at the clock .
thanks harry, long retired.
Harry did you ever get a Rock around the Clock, or even a " BRICK".
