hiya,
Norm have been called a silver fox on occasion but that is
because my remaining thatch is a bit that colour and the
ā€œGood Ladyā€ often describes me as a cunning ā€œold gitā€.
thanks harry, long retired.

Have you got a white tip on your tail Harry ?
Cheers Dave.

hiya,
Donā€™t know about the white tip Dave, canā€™t see my tail because my stomach
obliterates the view   , a dog fox ehā€™ handsome chap isnā€™t he.
thanks harry, long retired.

Same here Harry, got a big belly. That Fox has got a big brush, much bigger than a British Fox.I donā€™t think he needs hospitalising Norm.Heā€™s probably like me,seen to much of those places. :open_mouth:
Cheers Dave.

Dave and Harry I am glad to say I have lost a lot of my     puppy fat, by reducing my meal portions, and cut down on the bread I eat, over a year ago I stepped on the scales, :open_mouth: :open_mouth: :open_mouth: I was 15 stones 5lbs, now its 13 stones 13lbs. Gone from Tubby Harbuckle to a Douglas Fairbrother,   its a pain signing all those autographs. :unamused: :unamused: :unamused:

now then norman , dave isnā€™t fat heā€™s just big boned .

No Dave Iā€™m afraid Norm is right, mostly fat or lard whatever you want to call it.Donā€™t eat an awful lot, just drink a couple of pints of beer.Nature of the beast my Dad was shorter than me,he was 5ā€™8" and weighed 15 stone, and on my Mums side her brothers were six footers and carried a bit of weight. So I must follow all of them.Thatā€™s my excuse.
Cheers Dave.

I know I have asthma, but I was getting too short of breath, I stood in the noddy on the scales, I could not see my old man, :open_mouth: :open_mouth: :open_mouth: I did not know if it had shrunk, :frowning: :frowning: :frowning: :astonished: :astonished: :astonished: or my stomach had increased my than I wanted to admitt, so I decided to make a effort to lose some weight, so I moaned at the wife, because she was loading my plate,   now they are half the size, and I can do up my jeans & trouses a lot easier, and the wife is controlling hers as well.

Photo on this thread, when I was in Londra Camp, I was almost 40 and I am in shorts and long hair,   the hair is slowly waving me goodbye, pity the fat donā€™t do the same.   I was pretty fit at that time, but at the downhill to 76 I suppose I am not in too bad a shape, and two of my mates who are younger,   asked two young women who work at the snooker hall who looked the youngest, and was told they looked 70 years old, they said what about Norman and pointed to me, oh he looks five years younger than you two.    My mates think I bribed them,   but I didnā€™t! :sunglasses: :sunglasses: :sunglasses:

I remember seeing Russel Harty interviewing the American comedian George Burns (who was well into his 90ā€™s and lived to be 100) and asking him about his daily routine. It was something like " Rise at 6 am and read the papers, go for a round or two of golf, pop to my club for drinks and then enjoy a party until the early hours". Harty asked him what his Doctor thought of that, ā€œOh my Doctorā€™s deadā€ replied George!! Love it!
It certainly pays to keep yourself in good health, I no longer drink and I packed ā– ā– ā– ā–  in 40 years ago but I do like my food Iā€™m afraid! Spuds with everything, apart from saturdays when we have chips. I did a lot of walking and joined a gym, which I enjoyed, stopped eating biscuits and chocolate and lost 4 stone! My mother said that I looked awful and I got every cold going so I put 3 stone back on again, feel ok now at 6ft 4" and 16 stone.

Pete.

Pete, you are another sixteen stone,   with Dave are you going to form a Tennessee Williams club, Sixteen Tons, I was always listen to that in Germany at 31 armoured workshop in Rotenburg on American forces network, in 1956, also remember the King singing " Heartbreak Hotel ".

You would make a good light heavyweight boxer Harry.I think Norm got his Tennessee mixed up. Tennessee Williams
was a playwright and Tennessee Ernie Ford was one of the singers who sang 16 tons.
