Norwegian Trucks

Kyrbo:
[
Martin, I’ve heard that in Norway it’s (or has been) common practice at winter to
drive truck with outdoor clothes on so that when truck falls from cliff, and you
don’t have time to nothing more than jump, you don’t freeze before you can get
some shelter. How much of this is true nowdays, or has it only been some
rumor amongst those Finnish drivers that have driven to Norway at winter?

Sounds like a drivers’ urban myth to me K

But when I started driving :unamused: we wore outdoor clothes all the time. Not
because of the cliffs but because the temperature was the same on the
inside :smiling_imp:

A very nice insight into the Norwegian scene Martin, thanks for that. When I
was still at school I did a trip round Norway up as far as Bodo, above the
circle. Ã…ndalsnes seems to ring a particular bell with me. Don’t let anybody
tell you that Norwegian girls are as cold as the climate :open_mouth:

To avoid problems with snow and ice freezing to the wiperblades, could you were a thermo suit, an adjust the ’ heating’ to cold and sett the switch to ’ front screen’, that would mean that you gett fresch cold air in cabin an that your wiperblades stay clean  …but it gets could though   …This can only be used whilst crossing a mountainpass, where you have no oppertuneties at all to stop and clean youre wipers/window :exclamation:

Yesterday’s trip to the Trollstigen…a nice mountenroad witch is closed during the winter…
