Any recomendations for trucking maps covering Northern Ireland. Did buy a Phillips Atlas but sent it back as it does not cover Northern Ireland or Ireland.
decent maps for ireland are like rocking horse [zb].
you’ll get a bog standard one on the ferry if you’re lucky, but i’d get a sat nav.
Just buy a map of Ireland, it won’t discriminate north or south, it should have both
No post codes in Southern Ireland ,but they are on the way .
Maybe best to get one in Ireland, the south is easier than north anyhow, more motorways, but best routes are essential in both as once off the beaten path it takes alot longer than a more direct route.
dont use a sat nat in ireland usless it the truck one or a very updated one. sat nav’s in ireland r great in a car but not in a lorry…i’m from ireland and i wouldnt use a sav nat here.
Take your iPad, google maps!
if in doubt ask the irish lads on here!

drop me a pm and I’ll help if I can .
There’s no trucking atlas for Ireland but something like the Collins or the AA ones are adequate enough. Bridge heights aren’t as big a problem in N. Ireland as they are in the Bean, our railways are few and far between. Same with weight limits, we don’t have the same nimbys in this country so there are very few weight restrictions.
Don’t be afraid to ask for advice on the boat, we’ll be the ones in the checked shirts and dealer boots.
