Turin etc if that gives you an idea.
I’d allow 5, we get to langres 1st day from Southampton, then carisio 2nd day, 3rd day tip Milan back to cluses, 4th day reims, 5th day home…don’t like to push it too much
4 Shifts No problem.
Nice little run… Enjoy your trip !!!

Personally I’d allow for 5 shifts.
4 shifts won’t leave leeway for any delays. It could be done in 4 if everything goes to plan and you know what you’re doing.
If you know what you’re doing, you won’t be asking advice in here.
It’ll be a nice little run, enjoy it

Why not go down sunday afternoon?
There’s hardly any traffic, Get on the ferry and have a nice meal, crack on after the lorry ban.
You’ll be parking up in the middle of France in the early hours, But the Mont Blanc should be pretty quiet by the time you get there. Tip 1st thing tuesday and head back for tiffin wednesday evening.
The Sunday driving ban doesn’t apply to 7.5 toners, unless they have changed the rulings on that
From personal experience, How big the fuel tank is can have an impact on the time it will take,I can recall one trip in a brs curtain sider 7.5t had to refuel around 15-20 times each way as it only held 100ltrs or something silly
as stopping for fuel frequently will add quiet a bit of time, But as long as you don’t hang around it should be still doable within 2 full 10hr shifts each leg
My route would be from Calais onwards , A26 to Troyes > A31 Dijon >Macon around Lyon > A43 Chamberry to the Tunnel De Frejus > Bardonchettia , Italia E70 A32 >susa >E64 A4 trurin /torrino > Chivassio.Novara >Milan/Milano, If your 7.5t is a newer Restricted to 90k’s you could take the N44 from reims onto the RN67 at st dizier to chaumont & back onto the Autoroute, saves some Km’s and £’s tolls and probably will be a little quicker as it’s shorter
Blanc is a better route to go to Milan in my opinion.
Send 10 trucks a week to Italy.
Frejus is better for Turin
How does the price vs Km’s fair between the 2 tunnels, Just to add, i ask this because the company that i used to frequently do italia for , was time critical, but cost of fuel, tolls, and tunnel tolls where important as well ,But unless there were long delays such as when they close the tunnel to ■■■■■■wide loads ect , we had to use frejus
From the info on tunnel tarrifs there isnt much between the 2, but the amount fuel used and tolls depenant on the routes taken and of course distance could be key from a hauliers side of things if time taken to complete the jorney although being important wasn’t that critical,
Although i know your you at least things could be different to other hauliers, due to your selected tractor specs, ie most of the fleet above 500 hosses, being to your advantage with the terrain
I would be looking to get some transit docs and go via Switzerland. Less miles and far less in tolls and as you are coming back empty you will only require transit docs one way.

Yeah you could transit swiss , unless you where driving through the night as they stop movement of trucks 7.5t included after 10pm local time until 6-7am (from memory) as they do their yodelling during those times, which is great if the country can afford it
Thanks to Will for your support for the TC, vote for TC in Eastleigh.!!
Piece of â– â– â– â– . Enjoy.

No overnight driving in Swiss from 10pm - 5am, local time.
