In topic I take it all back about my lot. Got £100 in the pay packet and a company branded flask!
I got paid full pay for 14 weeks on Furlough so I’m not going to grizzle about it. Just glad to still be in work at moment know a few who have lost their job.
Here’s my xmas.bonus . .also got a full day’s work tomorrow so much for Christmas spirit. Least when I finish tomorrow that’s it until 4th of Jan

The bane of self employment is giving out the gratuities. Not even a thankyou.
Nothing from my lot but the owner is from a culture where Christmas is not celebrated. But that is fine because as a white British driver I can book off the entire last 2 weeks of the year as holiday without issue as they just get one of their natives to cover; same for the other 3 white drivers . We get looked after in other ways, such as one of the highest payers in the region and being able to choose and spec your own truck. Given how the former pays my mortgage and the latter is where I spend approx 60 hours of my life every week, I’d much rather have that than a token Amazon voucher/bottle of wine/hamper.
I’m one of those people who doesn’t celebrate Christmas.
but I will be having 10 days off and cook myself a luxurious Xmas dinner, which as a random act of kindness I will share with any of my elderly neighbours if they’re alone and not able to go and spend time with family members.
As agency it was obvious that when I walked in the office yesterday I was going to get the longest run of the day (Ipswich and back) so the full timers could have the shortest runs and finish early, and it was no surprise that the shift manager rang me while I was and hour out on the way back to ask what time I will be there (we’re on live tracking ffs) telling me to drop the keys in with the security bods so she could go home before myself and another agency driver got back, but I pointed out that she’d be wise to wait until we got back in case of breakdown etc

You can throw your own Christmas party for 1 and claim it back on expenses
We did ok and better than expected. we got a £40 voucher a small hamper and 50 shares valued at around £1600 but the shares do have conditions attached
£500 each for working though the pandemic. £100 gift card each for xmas and normally a free bar

Got £300 in company shares. Nobody I’ve spoken to so far has lost any money on the share scheme (open to all). Most made a few grand at the end of the several year period.
Well I waited until the new yr no Christmas party , no 1 cent a km driven bonus , no card , no company present ( flask / jacket , folder) no thank you !! . You would have thought I would have got something for 9.25 days work in 2020 before I injured my self in a yrd accident !! Ahh well I’m hoping for something this yr if I am a able to work again .
