The company I work for have now said that we can not book an unpaid sick day for a Hospital appointment for example we must have the day as paid holiday. What are your thoughts guy’s ■■?

As far as I know that is not in law but might be company policy - that being the case then it has to be in your agreed contract.
company i work for ask if you can make appointments outside of work if not you can have it unpaid or make time up
