It’s about cat D licence but I’m asking here as that’s the same procedure.
I passed my Mod 4 mid July and still haven’t received my CPC card (or the one covering cat C has not been updated with cat D). It’s also no showing anything regarding CPC on 'check my licence ’ page.
Doesn’t it take too long? I drive on my CPC certificate but it’s a bit concerning nothing appears on the website.
Driving licence check does not show driver cpc = EDIT - IGNORE THIS SEE POST BELOW
Driver cpc is gov.uk/check-your-driver-cp … ning-hours is only for the 35 hours not initial mod 4 tests
I suggest you contact examiner via the mod 4 trainer to see if it was sent electronically to DVLA
(My) “View your driving licence information” does show CPC and tachograph card status
YMMV

I was the other way (Cat D CPC and passed my Cat C in July).
I received my CPC card through a week after the Mod 4 test and it was updated on my View Licence Online very quickly.
Would suggest making contact.

Did you do the mod 2 for D also? You only mention mod 4.

Excellent point! Forgot about the Case Studies Conversion test.

Yes, of course. You cannot do Mod4 without Mod2.
I’ve got all the paperwork - theory, Mod2, Mod 4 certificate and practical test.
I passed Mod 4 two months before my cat.D practical - my new licence arrived very quickly but no sign of passing Mod4 apart from the pink certificate. The employer was happy to accept the documents but now we are getting concerned.
Actually what happened was I passed Mod 4 which was set for the day before my practical test. When it came to the practical test - I failed. Never returned to the same company for a retest. I won’t name them but I wasn’t very happy with the standard of training. Then my employer sent me somewhere else where I easily passed my test.
But my understanding is even if I didn’t pass the practical, they should have sent off my Mod4 documents do dvsa?
I’ll give DVSA a ring. I sent them an email but I may wait forever…
The driver qualification card wouldn’t be issued without a valid licence category held (I think). In effect, the length of time before the practical wouldn’t mean anything, because it wouldn’t be issued anyway.
However, my understanding is that it is an automatic system, so really you should get the card within 10 days or so worst case I would imagine.
An update:
CPC qualifications appeared on the 'view my licence ’ page. So probably the card will arrive soon. Looks like it takes time.
However though I passed Mod 4 in July, CPC starts 22nd September, when I passed my test. So as someone mentioned it looks like cpc is not valid without a practical test.

Exactly this, unless you had acquired rights (i.e. C1 licence via grandfather rights)
