NIP.... Should I just bend over and let them shaft me?

dar1976:
I turned up. Case was dropped through lack of evidence. Still trying to get my expenses back from them.

But I’m glad this ones over with.

I’m pleased it worked out for you even if it did take so long to get it dropped, goo result in the end

What a waste of time for everyone involved. Glad it worked out OK. I’m still curious to know exactly what was behind it all in the first place, but we will never know. I suspected police corruption, sounds more like incompetence now.

If only they went to as much trouble sorting out serious crimes like burglary and assault. What a waste of everyones time and money. Tossers.
As usual, they look at anyone with a driving license as easy sport to inflate the doughnut fund :imp:
“”“Lack of evidence”“” I had a feeling it would turn out that way.

Finally got cheque in post today for all claimed expenses. Still feeling relieved about it all. I don’t know why I let it get to me really.

So putting this one behind me now.

Probably because you haven’t long passed your hgv test and didn’t want to get it blighted from an early stage.

Just read all this thread, wow… Good outcome shame about all the idiots that think they can ruin peoples lives by been greedy.

Moved it to the Legal Forum for you.

I’m confused. If you were parked and out of the vehicle doing a delivery how can they charge you with DRIVING offences? The definition of driving for the Road Traffic Act is being at the controls of the vehicle, whether it is moving or not. If your arse wasn’t in the driver’s seat at 15:00 you weren’t driving surely?

Because he was an is incharge of the vehicle Coffee,

Yes, but you normally have to be driving to hit something! If you were in charge of a vehicle but not driving and it hit something then that is potentially more serious!
