Hi all,landed my first class 1 job but its nights.I’m well aware of daytime working hours etc but nights?
I’m thinking you can work 10hrs? , but is that 10hrs total,including/excluding breaks?.
Any help or pointers in laymans terms appreciated thanks.

nope you can work a shift of 15 , unless there’s a work force agreement I place .

If you do any work at any point between 00:00 and 04:00 (goods vehicles) you’re a night worker.
It’s 10 hours working time which does not include breaks or POA, basically it’s 10 hours driving and other work.
Check to see if there’s an opt out agreement in place, if there is you can legally work the same hours as you would on days.
Someone will be along shortly to tell you that no-one enforces the RT(WT)R, which is true to a point but every company I’ve worked at enforce the six hour rule even if they’re not too fussy about the rest of the working time regulations.
