Night Heater Operation?

Stuck the night heater on ready for when I get in the truck one morning this week as I see the weather’s changing now.

But on arrival, the heater wasn’t on?

Now, the truck is not parked in our yard, but is out based near my home in a secure yard, so no Tom, ■■■■ or Harry can just come in and mess around with the trucks…

Am I missing something here? I didn’t programme it as such, just pressed the on button, let it start up, locked the truck and left…

I think it’s an Eberspacher night heater according the manual in a MAN TGX btw…

Correct me if I’m wrong but I’m sure on certain trucks the night heater goes off after a certain amount of time unless you pre-programme it to stay on for longer

Possibly…

I thought it would be just a simple ‘on or off’ - unless you programme it…■■?

I just pressed the underscored ’ wavy lined’ button on the whole cab air con / heater control panel, and expected it to still be on in the morning…

I guess there maybe more to it than just pressing a button…? :frowning:

Make, model, year? Someone will know.

Time to RTFM I reckon.

Is it actually working .
People forget that if you don’t fire it up now and again they won’t work due to dust etc after all it’s a motor and as such needs using to luv lube it

MAN, TGX. Not sure of year though. All our trucks have private plates.

Can’t see it being that old either though, it’s only got 300K kms on it up to now…

Read The Fscking Manual

I did! And nothing was mentioned about how long it stays on for if you only press the on / off button…

Which is why I’m asking here for more / any other info…

Would you leave it on all night if you were sleeping in it
Is there no way of programme it to set it two hours before you start

Make sure the vents aren’t blocked.

My old TGA was a pain for the diesel going back down the fuel line if I didn’t regularly run the night heater every week during the summer. The fuel line ends up full of air and it used to take a lot of start up cycles to get it working properly. It has probably had some air in the line due to lack of use that caused it to cut out. It should run all night if left on

Without the ignition key turned to position 1 you will only get it to run for 2 hours max.

:unamused:

What setting is your temperature dial at?

:unamused: :sunglasses:

At about 22-24…

Goldfinger:
At about 22-24…

Well, that might be your answer…
