can you still park on newhaven docks overnight. if so how much and how far to the nearest chippy / chinky

8yrs since i last docked there,dont know if you can still park there but if you can come out of dock turn left over bridge your in town,chippys pubs t/aways.
Only 5 years since I parked there overnight. So I don’t know if you still can.
dafdave is correct though. Out the gate, turn left, over the bridge and your into town. There is a sports gear shop at the end of the high street on the left. Just past that there was a pretty good chippy, the pub in the middle of the road, next to the sports shop, was a very pleasant and friendly place too.
